I HAVE HAD SEVERAL STUDENTS ASK
ME            ABOUT LEFT BRAIN RIGHT
BRAIN
- AS FAR AS TYPES OF HORSES WELL LET ME SAY
THIS  THERE ARE ONLY (3) THINGS WE NEED TO GET A HORSE
TO DO WHICH IS THE FOUNDATION FOR ALL YOU MAY EVER
WANT TO TEACH THEM

1/ FORWARD MOTION   [AT A   WA
2/FORWARD MOTION
trot
 3/ Whoa = Whoa is
used as a command to stop, especially to an Horse,

Explored theories about the two hemispheres of the brain and
the ways that they differ in function and control of the body.
According to recent research,  right brain dominant and those
who are left brain dominant process information and respond in
different ways.

Most theories suggest that right-brain dominant horses  are
guided by the more emotional, intuitive right hemisphere while
left-brain horses  respond in sequential, logical ways, guided by
the left hemisphere. To a great degree, There  personality is
shaped by  brain type.

But don't let yourself confuse  this with  right handed and left
hand and that is determined by the way a EMBRYO -neck is
turned in there dams womb which will be the direction  a colt
will be able to turn easiest ,
THING OF A PREY ANIMAL  WE
HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ALL FEEL
DOMINATED BY US OR THEY WOULDN'T EVER UN TRACK
THEMSELVES WHEN SADDLED  SO IF SOME ONE PUT A
THIN ROPE HALTER AROUND YOUR HEAD AND  & THEN
ADD A    CUT OFF  FIBERGLASS [CATTLE SORTING STICK
& A SAVVY STRING WITH A POPPER ON THE END . AND
SOMEONE POPPED  YOU   DON'T YOU THINK YOU WOULD
BE TRAINABLE AS WELL . //     BECAUSE WHEN YOU
THINK ABOUT IT A HORSE CAN FEEL A FLY ON HIS HOCK

.
THE 4  HORSES
PERSONALITY'S

 # 1 FEARFUL - SCARED TO DEATH OF OWN SHADOW
which are MORE  guarded and cautious / and needs more
personal space / and gets all of his confidence from
ANOTHER BEING A PERSON OR ANOTHER HORSE .[THEY
HAVE VERY LOW Self- esteem in there self ]   BUT ONCE
TRAINED HAVE LONG AND FOCUSED ATTENTION SPANS ...
SO IN SHORT YOU NEED TO BUILD THAT PART OF THEM
BEFORE REALLY STARTING THERE TRAINING

#2 SOCIAL BUTTERFLY TYPE -[  THIS IS THE first
to the gate  GREETER -HE LIKES BEING rubbed  &
GROOMED ,AND OFTEN ENJOYS PLAYING WITH OTHER
HORSES AND
WELCOMES YOU INTO THERE
PERSONAL SPACE AND ON THE OTHER HAND
SEES NO PROBLEM WITH  INVADING  YOURS
AS WELL
. THEY STRUGGLE WITH ATTENTION SPANS .
BECAUSE THE WORLD IS SO INTERESTING TO THEM SO
TRAIN THEM WHERE THERE'S NOT MUCH GOING ON /
#3   THE LONER  - THIS IS THAT HORSE THAT JUST
WANTS TO BE LEFT ALONE
 THEY HAVE A DELAYED
ACTION TO TRAINING AIDS , KINDA A DULL REACTION TO
TRAINING / THEY GLARE AT YOU FROM THE SIDE ; MOST
OF THEM KINDA HAVE A GLAZED LOOK IN THERE EYES /
IGNORING YOU IS EASY FOR THEM
. DON'T WANT THIS
KIND OF HORSE / I WOULD SAY THEY REALLY DIDN'T
HAVE MUCH CONTACT WITH HUMANS  AS A WEANLING
=YEARLING

  # 4 CHALLENGING type  ] WHICH IS MY
FAVORITE
HAS A STRONG SENSE OF [SELF]
LIKE FULL OF THEMSELVES TYPE HORSE /A LOT OF THIS
CLASS are  WORLD CHAMPIONS are this   TYPE OF
HORSE THEY ARE SOMEWHAT TERRITORIAL /
CONFRONTATIONAL AND DON'T TAKE TO TRAINING AIDS
SO WELL / THIS HORSE IS VERY CONFIDENT AND A
OPPORTUNISTIC , ONE THAT WAITS TO CHALLENGE YOU
AT EVERY TURNING POINT / ITS LIKE HE IS THINKING HE
IS SMARTER THAN YOU / AND IN SOME CASES THEY WIN
/

COMEDY CORNER  IF YOU
HAVE BEEN AROUND HORSES FOR VERY LONG YOU WILL
HEAR THE WEEKEND WARRIOR DOWN AT THE STABLES
SAY  /
I HAD TO SELL THAT HORSE
THEY WERE CRAZY - UNCONTROLLABLE -
ETC. AND BY THAT STATEMENT YOU KNOW --
DON'T LONE A GOOD HORSE TO THEM ///  IT
MIGHT TAKE A MONTH TO GET YOUR HORSE
STRAIGHTED OUT
.

But if you want to become a true
horse trainer forget programs or DVDs or what anyone
says and adopt a few mustangs TRIAL AND ERROR IS
THE WAY THESE THE TEACHERS OF THESE [ DVD
/CARROT STICK/ VISE BREAKER ]  SELLERS LEARNED ..  ..
DID YOU THINK THEY WERE BORN KNOWING ?  NEAT
THOUGHT / BUT IT IS JUST THAT - A NEAT THOUGHT ..
And by the time you have trained 10 of them you will be
a trainer AND HAVE HAD 10 OF THE BEST- QUARTER
HORSES - YOU WILL HAVE EVER OWN .   WHERE DID YOU
THINK THE QUARTER HORSES & PAINT  HORSES CAME
FROM .REALLY GOOD READING / "THE COMPLETE BOOK
OF THE QUARTER HORSE ; by
Nye

               "A true horse person that
always approaches any horse with a
POSITIVE ATTITUDE;and a light hand
never pat them there not a DOG// RUB
THEM THE WAY THERE MOTHERS DID
WHEN THEY WERE COLTS/ AWAYS
WITH THE HAIR GRAIN . # 1 RULE TO
LIVE BY THAT WILL PULL YOU
THROUGH //   With every interaction
we must realize we are teaching the
horse good and/or bad habits. There
are not any out right mean or
uncontrollable horses; only horses that
have trust issues.  After all, horses are
prey animals in a life or death
struggle."By S.L. Davidson
consistency is the
key.

For I am rich
beyond my dreams;
My muddy face,
my worn out jeans
My life much more
than  it seems,
For I have won the
herd's esteem.
***********************
This great herd
does not care
What labels or
designer Jeans  I
wear,
Or if my jeans
should sport a tear;
THEY don't
STARE or  ARCH
Their noses  in the
air.

They live for the
time We spend  in
the  mud and dust,
For that is TIME
they   learn to trust,
