Training Contract
Horse training contract for hire
This agreement is made between _____________ (S.L. Davidson ) and ____________
_______________ (Owner), owner of the horse (s) described herein.
Please read the following carefully.
Fee
In consideration of $35.00 per hour plus travel pay and expenses to be paid by the owner of said horse (s)
by the 15th of each month while Riding or working with your horse and the remaining balance when I ( my self
) or ( owner of horse ) decides i shouldn't need to no longer ride or work with animal . I agrees to WORK
with said horse(s) beginning __________________ , 20 __ . A release wavier will not be given till all fees
are paid .
Cash or check are accepted. Thank you.
Standard of Care
Trainer agrees to provide normal reasonable care to maintain the health and well-being of said horse(s).
Care and services NOT included in the fee are: farrier care, de-worming, and veterinary care.
Emergency Care
If emergency care is needed, Trainer will attempt to contact Owner but, in the event Owner is not at their
residence or can't be reached, Trainer has the authority to secure emergency veterinary and/or farrier care.
Owner is responsible to pay all costs relating to this care. Trainer is authorized as Owner's agent to arrange
billing to Owner. All horses in training must be current on de-worming, farrier, and dental work (wolf teeth
pulled, teeth floated, etc.) before arrival.
Training
Work with horse (s) include riding, lungeing, and/or groundwork. One session per week may be used as
owner lesson provided the horse(s) in training is deemed safe for Owner to ride by Trainer. Horses will not be
ridden by anyone other than myself or the Owner while I am working with horse(s) unless prior
arrangements have been made. I DO not and cannot guarantee any effect of my program or that any
particular results will be achieved, since this depends a great deal on the ability of the horse. I encourage you
to check on your horse's progress by visiting the barn. Feel free to make an appointment ahead of time so I
can ensure you will be given the attention you deserve. If the owners horse is at MY barn for any reason they
may not send or have any persons other than themselves with them during visits unless owner call least 3
days in advance and makes arrangements . I have complete control over the manner of training .
Both parties agree that (Sam Davidson ), not be held responsible or liable for death, sickness, accident or
injury to Owners horse(s) while in working with or on my property . The Owner is not held responsible or
liable for their horse(s) in case injury should be inflicted to myself by their horse(s), nor is the Owner held
responsible or liable for any damage to tack, caused by their horse(s).
Risk of Loss
While the horse(s) is for any reason at our farm ,Farm owners shall not be liable for injury, sickness, death,
or theft suffered by the horse(s) of any other cause of action arising from or connecting to the boarding or
training of the horse. Owner fully understands that PROPERTY OWNER does not carry insurance for any
horse not owned by him for boarding or for any other purposes; all risks are assumed by Owner.
Agreement
This constitutes the entire Contract for hire between the parties. Any modifications or additions Must be made
in writing and signed by all parties to this Contract for hire. No oral modifications or additions will be
considered to be part of this Contract for hire unless reduced to writing and signed by all parties. This
Contract for hire ends once all fees have been paid.

Please fill out a Horse Owner Information Sheet for each horse brought and get notarized /.
(NOTICE): Horse owner should not feel I am obligated to work with their
Horse if they haven't signed and had a contract notarized by a notary of public
. The owners of any horse we may work with shall not assume a binding
verbal contract exists in any term of the word contract . S.L. Davidson
